The Oversew Fashion Awards is an annual event showcasing creative and talented people who can turn old, dated clothing into new 'upcycled' fashion. The awards are focused on sustainability and showing the world the artisan craft of up cycling.

We created a concept that perfectly reflected the whole up-cycling concept of the awards. We came up with the idea of using vintage fabrics cut from old clothing as the poster material and screen printed the design on to it. This creative approach gives the viewer an immediate idea of hand made, artisan fashion and what the event is about. The posters are going in shop windows and this approach means they stand out.

We created a strong typographic poster to add to the handmade craft feeling, introduced simple sewing graphics to reinforce sewing, created a clothing tag with the logo to reinforce fashion and introduced a coat hanger recycling symbol as new new twist on recycling and sustainability.
